A little bit about the woman behind the camera, and why I believe the photographs we leave behind matter.

FINDING BEAUTY IN THE DARKNESS.

I’ve always been a wanderer.

Long before photography became my career, I was drawn to the places that made me stop and look twice—the quiet forests, dramatic landscapes, unexpected light, and little moments that somehow feel bigger than they are.

I think that’s why photography found me.

For more than a decade, I’ve carried a camera with me through weddings, adventures, intimate moments, and countless chapters of other people’s lives. Along the way, I’ve learned that what I love most isn’t simply creating a beautiful photograph.

It’s creating a photograph that makes you feel something.

My work has always lived somewhere between romantic and moody, raw and refined, dark and beautiful. I’m drawn to movement, emotion, dramatic light, wild landscapes, and the moments that don’t feel perfectly posed.

I believe there is beauty in the unexpected.

There is beauty in vulnerability.

There is beauty in the parts of ourselves we don’t always think are beautiful.

And there is something incredibly powerful about seeing yourself through someone else’s eyes.

I’ve never wanted my photographs to feel like everyone else’s. I’m much more interested in creating something that feels like you—only a little more cinematic. I want you to feel something when you look at your images years from now. I want you to remember the way the light felt, the way you laughed, the person you loved, the woman you were, or the life you were building.

BEYOND THE CAMERA

I’m an Oregon girl through and through, and Central Oregon has been home for more than two decades. I’m happiest somewhere between the mountains, the trees, an open road, and a good cup of coffee—with a camera nearby, of course.

I love wandering without a plan. Finding beautiful places. Traveling somewhere new. Chasing incredible light. Getting a little lost.

That’s where Ashley in Wanderland came from. It’s more than a name. It’s the way I move through the world. Curious. Adventurous. Always looking for beauty. And I want to bring that same sense of wonder into the photographs I create for you.
